Well hello, hello ladies!

Just wanted to introduce myself...

I'm Jordan, I'm 22 and from Oklahoma. Future H is 27.

I began posting on TheBump because we found out we were expecting a baby in December. However, last week we found out that the baby's heart had stopped beating.

Anyways, FH and I have been together almost a year, and the ring has been purchased. I have no idea what it looks like, but he was going to propose this past weekend. Due to the events that happened last week, he decided it wasn't an appropriate time. The only reason he told me that he was going to do it this past weekend was in case one of his friends slipped and said something (we flew to CO for the weekend to get away and have fun).

So now I am patiently waiting. I'm excited to meet you girls and hopefully we will all be planning our weddings soon...even though I'm sure some of us have ideas in mind already :)

Hi and welcome. I'm sorry to hear about your baby, but hopefully you two grow closer because of it.

Just so you get a feel for the board, we don't encourage preplanning. It may help if you read the sticky at the top of the page titled New? Read this first!!! It's the third sticky down.

What is your favorite alcoholic beverage? Any neat plans for the summer?

Thank you so much for your help! This format is a little different from TB. But I like it :). I'm doing my GTKY on the first sticky now.

My favorite alcoholic beverage is a pina colada..mmmm. Now I can have a drink again.

For the summer, SO and I are trying to plan a cruise for mid-July and since I am a recent college graduate, I am trying to find a career. That's a full-time job in itself!

    What about you?

Mmmm margaritas! That sounds really good. :)

Our cruise is on the Carnival Valor and it goes to Grand Cayman, Ochos Rios (Jamaica) and Key West. I've been on seven cruises, so if you ever have a question, I'm sure I can give you some help!

I graduated from The University of Central Oklahoma, a campus with about 18,000 students. My major was Marriage and Family with an emphasis on Parent Education. I'm trying to get a job with the YWCA or other organization for victims that have been abused. I have also applied at the Health Dept as a Teen Pregnancy Prevention Specialist. Hopefully something happens!

Where are you going on your mission trips to? That sounds like a fun, busy summer, but very rewarding!

    1. So, I was at this gas station, way far away from where I usually go (I was interviewing for my internship last June) and went inside to pay. I was behind this guy with a HOT tush, so naturally, after staring at it, I checked for a ring. No ring. Then, I paid, went outside to pump my gas and he drives around to the side of my car and says, "So, how does it feel driving a car around with a logo (KC Chiefs) of a team that can't win a game to save their lives."

    I. Was. Appalled. Who was this guy and how dare he insult MY team? I then realized he had the logo of the Chief's rival team (Broncos) on his truck, and shot back my own insult. Well, we ended up talking for about 45 minutes, and then exchanged numbers.  The rest is history.

    2.

That would be Dude. :) Our little Shiba Inu.

    3. Well, after thinking about having a baby and family, I could not picture kissing my newborn and husband good night and potentially never seeing them again. Plus, the shift I would work for years would be 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. That's just not condusive to a healthy family life in my opinion. So, by being a victim's advocate, I could still be in a rewarding position where I can help get justice for others. :)

I think your mission trips sound wonderful! How nice of you to build ramps for the people in need. I'm originally from Texas (DFW), I miss it there! How do you like Houston?

    1. That is fantastic! What a really cute story. Sounds like something I would do too.

    2. He's so cute! Name?

    3. I totally get that. I have a friend that has been working the same hours as a nurse for years and he has two little ones. I can totally get behind wanting justice without being on the streets at odd hours all the time. Granted, victim's advocacy is not a "leave at work" job.

My Fi is originally from DFW too! Arlington, specifically. I love Houston. I was born and raised here, even went to University of Houston, although that was not what I wanted at first. I really really enjoy living in Houston though and am a very proud Houstonian.

Hi there & welcome to the board!

You've been on SEVEN cruises?! Which was your favorite? FI & I went on our first cruise last year & had a blast. We stopped in San Juan, St. Martin, St. Thomas, & Tortola.

My favorite was out of San Juan, that went to Aruba, Curacao, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. It was three months before the Natalie Holloway abduction in Aruba. Yikes!

<div>We were on Norwegian, if we cruise again we'll use them again. I liked that they're super laid back & you don't have to get dressed up for dinner. FI isn't really a "get dressed up" kinda guy & I'm pretty relaxed on vacations too so it was perfect for us. </div><div>
