Florist Budget- Need general idea

I need a breakdown of what flowers cost around the Boston area.

Bride Bouquets
Bridesmaid Bouquets
Junior Bridesmaid Bouquets
Flower Girl Flower Balls
Mother of the Bride Bouquets
Boutonnieres
Church arrangements
High and Low Centerpieces with vases and without.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi,
I got quotes from anywhere between $3,000 and $5,000. I met with several florists before deciding on one. Good luck!

Hmmm...well, it can vary a lot depending on what kind of flowers you want, etc., but I am getting my flowers in Boston (from Winston's), am doing bright, tropial flowers (June wedding), and here's what we are getting off your list:

    Bride Bouquet $175
    Bridesmaid Bouquets N/A
    Junior Bridesmaid Bouquets N/A
    Flower Girl Flower Balls N/A
Mother of the Bride Bouquets N/A--we are doing corsages instead for $35 each
    Boutonnieres $15 each
Church arrangements - silver pew cones with tropical foliage--I *think* $40 each
High and Low Centerpieces with vases and without. N/A--we are doing just 1 arrangement at the bar that'll be like a big tropical bouquet in a glass vase--I think that's $125 (we're using non-floral centerpieces)

I'd guess the smaller bouquets might be $50-100 each and centerpieces $50+++

Hope that helps a little!  :)
Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)

Milestone florist in Fall River. They travel to most places.

He does an AMAZING job, My pricing may be a little off on each thing but the total was no more than $3300. To me thats a average price for most florist and his centerpieces are not filled with a lot of fillers like greenery and stuff

Sorry I like to shorting everything lol:
    FG= flower girls
    bouts= Boutonniere

I'm using Lyndsey Loring.  She does beautiful work, is very reasonably priced, and has been great to work with so far.  She's out of NH but it's not too far.  Her pricing is on her site - http://www.lyndseyloringdesign.com .

Also using Lyndsey Loring - prices are by far the best I've found.
For just under $1K getting the following
    my bouquet
    8 BM bouquets
    12 bouts
    3 pin-on corsages
20 centerpeices (I'm providing the mason jars)
    flowers for arbor for ceremony

I'm also being flexible with flower types (I just asked for specific colors...getting married in August, so tons of local in season blooms for her to choose from).

My florist has a price list on his website, and it was great in my pre-planning. I wasn't planning on using him, but met with him and loved his work.  I also got a lot of my other vendors from him.  its www.BowlerAndjones.com

    Good luck! HTH

One more thing...when you do decide on a florist, make sure you check on hidden fees like delivery and service charges - this one in particular can get costly when it is a percent (15-20%) of your total bill...GL!

We are going with mostly roses, which are pretty cheap!  We wanted to keep our flower budget as low as possible and I think we're getting a great deal!

    Bride Bouquet  $110
    Bridesmaid Bouquets  $50
Junior Bridesmaid Bouquets  N/A  (we do have a groomswoman, hers is $30, a little smaller than the BM)
    Flower Girl Flower Balls  N/A
Mother of the Bride Bouquets $20 (presentation bouquet)
    Boutonnieres  $7 (single rose)
Church arrangements  N/A (quoted us $75 but we decided to skip them)
High and Low Centerpieces with vases and without.  $40 (5" cube vase with roses, spider mums and berries)

Also getting rose petals for our ceremony aisle, $30 and bud vases for our cocktail tables, $8.

The whole thing is coming out to about $1000.  We're using Jody Palange Roffi from My Personal Florist in Reading.  She did my 2 best friends weddings and does beautiful work!  Her website:

That's great to know regarding the hidden fees. Thanks a lot girls.
