Looking for a barn

I am looking for a play to have a barn wedding.  We want to do our own food and have nice scenery outside.  I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that we could use.  Thanks I am looking to try to stay within an hour of Chicago.

    What a great idea!!!  I have been to 2 barn weddings (outside of Illinois) and they were both AMAZING!  1 in which I actually helped plan.  Here is a location that is about 60 minutes away from Chicago.  I haven't been to this venue but it may be what you're looking for.  I am trying to start up my own wedding coordination business.  Please feel free to email with any help or questions you might have.

    The only barn I can think of is the Byron Colby, but its for a fairly small wedding and it may be just a bit over an hour from chicago. My cousin who lives in chicago had his wedding there and he was onlky 45 minutes away

    This isn't within an hour of Chicago, but I just recommended it to another couple: Walnut Grove Farm in Knoxville, IL. I just don't think there's a prettier barn to get married in! :) (I'm biased -- we were married there ourselves.)

    Have you looked at apple orchards?  I believe All Seasons in Woodstock has a barn and the location is pretty cool.  They definitely do weddings and seem affordable.  I think it's 1hr 20min from Chicago.  These are the photos from the site. http://www.allseasonsorchard.com/new/Weddings.php

    I know there is a hidden barn down town chicago.  Actually where they keep the horses for horse and carriage rides.  I went there with my fiance to see a play and the barn was pretty big and very nice.
