Hi everyone: I am planning a Hindu wedding on the East Coast, and I was wondering where the best places to shop for saris, etc. would be.  I don't mind traveling if I have to (I may go to NJ with my mom).  I heard that L.A. has a great selection.  Can anyone comment? Thanks! :)

    NJ definintely (specifically Edison, NJ).  Also try Jackson Heights, NY

    A few girls have the SA bio linked in their sigs.  The bio has recs for stores as well.

    if you know someone who can have it made in pakistan or india that mgiht be better, more affordable, better material, and custom made. just get great measurments. that is what i did and i loved it, though had to make a few adjustments when it arrived, a local tailor was able to do it pretty easily
