White Knot

I found out about White knot about 1 month ago and i was just wondering if anyone has done them for their wedding or is thinking of making them.

We will make them for our guest at the wedding for them to wear/take home. I think i will have my party help me make them :) i only need about 100

We didn't bother with them.  Our thought was that the people who would come to a same-sex wedding were already convinced.

I agree, it might be overkill. Plus, even though your guests are coming to support you-some might not want to put holes in their nice clothes due to the pins.

I'm undecided.  There will probably be some, somewhere, but I don't think I'm going to stick them on my guests.

I saw a pic of a bridal bouquet with a white knot and i really liked it. As far as for the guest im not thinking of making them wear them, i was thinking of maybe having them out and they can take it with them or wear them if they like.

[QUOTE]I had a white knot attached to my bouquet when I married DH and I have one pinned to my nametag at work.  I think it's an awesome organization and love helping to spread the word.  But, I have to agree that it would seem like overkill and a little pointless to pass them out to wear AT a same-sex wedding.  However, just having them there for people to take and wear later if they want is a cool idea.

Thanks for the input, like i said they will have the option to wear them  and/or just take them home.

One of our groomsmen is gay and one of our bridesmaids has a twin sister who is a lesbian.  I am planning to pin a white knot to my bouquet and if anyone else in our wedding party wants one incorporated into their flowers, I'm going to do it for them too.  It hurts me that my best friend (who is willing to stand up for me) can't marry his partner of 7 years.  That's why I'm carrying a white knot with me on my wedding day.  (it will be the only white in the wedding, as everything else is ivory!)
