Good morning people!

Re: Good morning people!

  • H and I have been trying to get to an IKEA for a long time now. Hopefully we'll get there soon as I've never been and I've heard wonderful things. Apparently their food is really good and cheap too.

    Congrats Habs!!!!!

    Happy Anniversary Mrs. B!!!

I just spent an hour looking at an old message board I used to post on with the wayback machine....guys that thing is dangerous!  haha
  • Stacks, you guys are welcome any time! These days when I work at home I am usually done at 3:00. Next Thursday, maybe? Congrats on the house, Habs! And happy anniversary, MrsB!
  • Morning!

Petal: Is it Frankenmuth where the wedding is? That's about an hour north of Royal Oak and it's set up like an old German village.

Rach: I had book club last night and we totally picked Gone Girl! I brought like 6 or 7 suggestions with me, but that one won it!

Happy Anniversary Mrs. B, and happy birthday Midge's niece, and happy almost-wedding Ski!

I, too, am happy it's Friday. But I have to go grocery shopping after work and that's never any fun. I think I'd be OK with cooking if I could get someone else to bring me all the ingredients (and do the necessary chopping/slicing/dicing).

[QUOTE]Good Morning! It's super dark and rainy here right now.  I'm actually glad for that, we've needed the rain.  FI and I are going out for sushi tonight and then are going to a baseball game for our minor league team.  Those are always fun! I don't think we're doing much Saturday and Sunday, which is fine by me.  It's supposed to be still hot and sticky this weekend, so I'm good with staying in.

Dumdum, love the picture in your sig :)!  Did you see the other one on pinterest that says, "No, I says no, I got YOUR nose".  I find that one hilarious.

Morning Everyone!  I think it will be a good friday, just got to get through the work day.  Then I'm going to hit the gym, go home and shower, then we're meeting some friends for dinner and a movie.  The boys are going to see Ted and then the girls are going to see Magic Mike.  I'm trying not to let H see how very excited I am to go see this movie.

  • Happy Anniversary Mrs B I missed that!

  • Oooo $1 ice cream. Yum!
  • LTB, love Joan Jett.  I saw her live at least twice in the summer of (ugh) 1983 in downtown Philly at JFK stadium.  Great, hot, fun days back when a concert, was a concert!  Wink

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Good morning people! :   Mr B has his master's class all day tomorrow so we can't really do anything.  BB's sitter does some summer days every couple of weeks so the kids can see each other and not go too long without the routine of getting dropped off for a day (makes for fewer tears when school starts again) so we took advantage of yesterday's summer day and spent our anniversary at Ikea. ;-)

    Sounds romantic :)

Man I can't wait to be done with this place.  I hate getting stuck with the shiiit work that my coworkers feels is below her.

    Congrats on the house Habs!

I heard back from the university, the professor said that grade was a mistake - I didnt attend any classes/hand in any papers/write any exams so they reversed the grade! So now hopefully the school wont be such a pain about reversing the money. Yay! I can sense this is going to be a good day. I decided to take the day off & try on my dress with my mom and she can help me pick out a veil - she hasnt seen my dress yet so i think it will be fun =)

[QUOTE]Honestly, my thing is all about how you say it. "Hey, I'm reallyreally swamped. Any chance you can help me enter these clients into the system?" will get you a much better response than "I asked Racher to enter these clients. I feel my time is better spent doing bladdyblahblah.." Uhm, no lady. Data entry of your clients is part of YOUR job, not mine. That did not go over well.

[QUOTE]So there's a news article about the "embarssing mistake" from the Magic Mike trailer. It was a typo, or something. Seriously though? You notice a freaking typo in the trailer of Magic Mike? Pretty sure I wouldn't even be able to spot it now, knowing that it's there.

Seriously, I'm too busy wiping the drool off my face to notice that a silly word is mispelled.

  • Morning!.Yesterday, I finished reading the first book in the Lancaster Quilts series (it was free--don't judge). While it is not something I would have picked up if I had to pay for it, I really liked it.

It's about an Amish community, and I told H that it made me feel all wifey and domestic. I had dinner made for him when he came home, and I did some pretty intense cleaning in the kitchen.

When I woke up this morning, the other books had been purchased. :)
  • Special, my mom is OBSESSED with those books (she's a quilter).  I tease her mercilessly because everything she's talked about for the last six months is Amish this and Amish that.  She and my aunt C even took a weekend trip to Lancaster County back in April.

<div>I was reading a bunch of WWII stuff earlier this year, then I read Jodi Picoult's Plain Truth, also about the Amish. Then this book was offered as the Nook blog's Free Friday selection. </div><div>

  • Good morning all.

I am just SO NOT FEELING being at work today.

Also, my entire job at the moment is pretty much doing the things my co-worker doesn't want to do (I don't  have any of those giant EB-1 or NIWs to work on right now) but I LOVE HER, so I'll do any schitt she doesn't want to do.
  • Good morning everyone! I didn't notice a mistake in the Magic Mike trailer, either. I was too busy lusting after Matthew McHotty's body. (I don't care enough to try to spell his last name correctly) It seems like the work blues are going around, I'm pretty sure I'm either going to find another job soon, or at least stop working with this specific client, and get another part time job. It's difficult, because I enjoy what I do, for the most part, and I love the actual clients, but dealing with other people's agendas have taken their toll.
  • Hello everyone. I'm just chilling. It's supposed to be 104 today, so my butt was up at 8:30 to go to the post office instead of waiting and going later.
  • Dudettes, someone at work is my new best friend. Whomever brought these in:

  • It's supposed to be over 100 here too. It's why I wore a dress to work on casual Friday. At least I get to wear my flip-flops too!

True story - I have not seen the Magic Mike trailer, but the poster is pretty nice too.
  • That's cute Midge - and looks yummy.

[QUOTE]Seesaw - I've been drooling over Matthew Bomer, from White Collar. Too bad he bats for the other team. Or so I've heard. Still hott. It does kind of seem like everyone has the work blues. We need some sun lamps and "hang in there" kitty posters, STAT.
