Winter Engagement Pictures at Cranbrook?

Hi ladies--

I always wanted to take my engagement pictures at places like Cranbrook, but alas it's the winter season.. I went to Cranbrook today for work-related stuff and noticed that the trees are barren. (Of course, it's November in Michigan!!!) They did put up Christmas decorations/lights, but it's just not as pretty as it it in the summer/fall season. Did anyone take pictures at Cranbrook in the winter? What do you think about taking winter engagement pictures at Cranbrook? I googled, but all engagement sessions were done in the summer/fall season. 

Or where did you take your engagement pictures..?

    We did winter engagement pics in Ann Arbor in the law quad, the arb trails, and the big house. We had lots of snow and I wore bright colored coats so they turned out great. winter pics downtown rochester look awesome too when taken with the lights in town...

    We took our engagement pictures at the venue where we were married, Greenmead Village in Livonia (8 Mile & Newburgh Rds). It's an old village similar to Greenfield Village but smaller than that. It's a City of Livonia public park, and they have lovely buildings including a chapel. They are open for outdoor use every day from sun-up to sunset. If you go to my bio below, and click on photo link, you can see the outdoor pics from our engagement session as well as the wedding.

    Greenfield Village is another idea........they decorate a LOT in the winter for the holidays. I'm sure you could get some lovely pictures there.

    I'm taking my engagement picutres this Sunday so I'm in the same boat. We drove around downtown Detroit last weekend and the Riverwalk still looks nice even with the gray skies and barren trees. We are also taking pics at the Ren Cen, I'm not sure but I think they have an indoor garden. I insisted on finding an indoor location in case the weather is really bad.

    I think I'm going to go to DIA.. unless it snows by the engagement session!! I did google Cranbrook winter engagement pictures, and I did find some nice ones with snow.. Thanks for your comments!!
