My weekend is dedicated to making pomanders as are much of my free time lately. They are almost done so ill post pics once im finished. Once I get through those its on to the petal runners and the few paper items I still need to print like escort cards, signs, and the pictures for our table numbers. Oh and our seating chart which has to wait on RSVPs!

I just finished organizing things into piles (reception stuff, ceremony stuff, motel, etc) for FI, because he will have to transport everything to where it needs to go ahead of time, because he's going over there (his hometown) before I will.

I also started a list of RSVPs, so I can tally up how many adults we're having versus kids, since my caterer gives a discount for kids.

Oh and I wrapped the attendant gifts.

FFIL is talking to FMIL about the alcohol plans for the reception. It's looking like they want to put $500 down and then close up the bar after that, or we'll pick up the rest of the tab.

<div>Wow these were things I knocked out way earlier than this! I don't mean to make you rushed/stressed, but photographers around here are booking up already for April 2013! Maybe you live in a smaller/less "wedding"-ish area. </div><div>

</div><div>I'm also waiting on the seating chart! I have a rough one done, but it obviously cannot be finalized without RSVPs! I'm also waiting to do the escort cards. No use writing one for someone who can't come! That way I'll have more left over to sell, hopefully!

I'm dragging my feet finishing invite assembly, but there's not too much left to do.  I need to do the touch ups on our guest book tree sign and finish the ribbon trim on my recently glittered shoes.  Then the only big thing left to do will be cutting and curling the organza for flowers for my dress and hair, but I have some time to work on those things.  Oh, and we got our favors this week so I have to finish cutting and tying ribbon for the rest of those.

Oh, and I got my hair trimmed and went ahead and made the appointment for my last trim before the wedding!  Eeeee!

We got engaged at Christmas.  I had asked my aunt, who does all the weddings in the family, but she couldn't do it.  Its a Sunday wedding, and this guy is free.
We are looking at a cruise for our honeymoon, but the Sunday wedding is a problem with sailing dates.  But alas, my parents wouldn't come to a Saturday wedding, so...
So we are looking at a 4 day Mexico cruise and then a weekend at a B&B.

<div>Oh ok! Yeah when you have a short engagement, it doesn't give you as much time! How did you manage someone for free? That's awesome! Someone your aunt knows?</div>

I am working on helping my FMIL shop for a better outfit for the wedding.  She picked her dress last week---it's white.  She calls it cream, but it doesn't really matter.  The only thing I asked of her and my mom was to not pick out a white colored outfit.

That and I only have tomorrow as a day off, so I'll be working on collecting my sanity after shopping with FMIL.  She is already guilt tripping me that I don't approve of her dress selection.

<div>Yikes!!! That suuuucks. So when you asked her not to wear white, was she ok with that? Surely she can understand why cream is a no no too! Ugh. Also, can her dress be returned? She might be upset if it can't and she never plans to wear it again. Still, I think it's her own fault. Asking that your FMIL not wear white is NOT an unreasonable request. </div>

Mailed off invites (bittersweet after all, the work I put into those!), FI picked out and ordered tuxes, and I'm trying to finish up all of our seed packet favors that I'm DIYing. NWR... We groomed/shaved our yellow lab and mini-mutt for the first time! What a chore! At least it will save us tons of $$$ in the long run. Have a great (and productive) weekend, ladies! :)

Sorry, I didn't mean that he wasn't charging anything, but the date wasn't booked.  I think he does it on the side.  I haven't met the guy before, but apparently he goes to our church, and comes highly recommended.  In this area, peeps have a hard time making a living doing photography.

I didn't realize she meant unbooked either.  I was like "dang, she's a lucky girl getting free photography!".  lol.  I'm tired, that's my excuse.

And yes, Erica, she can return her dress (thank God).  She started to guilt me a little bit about it, but FI stepped in and pretty much told her she was being ridic.  She's ok with returning it, or she says she is.  We get along pretty good, but it was an awkward moment for sure.  :)

I have been working like crazy, but I finally sat down last night and worked on my guest list, I have been receiving rsvps back, so I had a chance to address invite for people that I left out, now that i know some relatives will not be able to attend our wedding. :)   I just went to michaels and bought some makeup bag for the bridesmaids, and got a signature tree and a frame, almost everything was 50% off....   My  menus are done, just need to print them, and I'm working on cootie catchers and coloring books. (Still figuring out what to write on the cootie catchers, since i have my menus, and Im doing my programs booklet style, to give out at the Church)

Clock is ticking and i feel like i still have tons to do... :(

Haven't done much WR this weekend. We had our engagement party/1st wedding shower last night and it was awesome :)

Got some gifts already off honeymoon registry and gift registry, so I wrote out some thank you notes today to send off tomorrow. BTW - why do people think that honeymoon registries are tacky? The friends that have seen it think it's such a neat idea. They said they'd much rather get us something that they know we will enjoy and help us have a good time than get some sheets or dishes or something.

Anyway... today was laundry day. Also, FI had to leave to London for a week today for work. I put on a brave face for him, but cried like a baby before he even left the garage and driveway. Cry Never gets easier no matter how many times he has to travel. I guess I can watch all the chick flicks I want this week, though.

</div><div>I think that one reason why people see them as tacky might be because it's not that far off from asking for $$?  IDK.  I just wasn't thrilled with the fact that you don't get what people pay dollar for dollar, KWIM?</div><div>

</div><div>I guess that's how some may see it. Our friends so far don't see it that way. We've had more off the honeymoon registry than the regular one lol The one we did is honeyfund.com and they don't charge you or the guest anything extra. We broke up the cost of different things we're doing into smaller amounts, too. i.e. trip to see Mayan Ruins = 10 x $20, so someone can just do $20 or w/e. </div><div>
</div><div>Yeah :( about FI. I'm getting a Marilyn Monroe documentary this week from Netflix that he is just soooo sad he's going to miss ;) I ordered some books, too, since I don't read as much at home as I used to. Will be nice to get to do that :)

I got my girls their gifts this weekend. I was visiting FI and was able to convince him to go over to the NEX and get some Coach wristletes, $40! retail for $65. Very excited. I each got them a different one, I really just wanted to  buy one for myself but I resisted the temptation.

Whoever had their FI leaving this week... I feel your pain... trust me. I saw my FI for the last time before the wedding,...It never gets easier to say good-bye. But I just watch TV shows he would hate and read lots of books, and work lots of hours... and shop.

This weekend I will be making (yet another) visit to Paper Source to get the stationary to make our thank you cards, table numbers, and charitable favor cards. Also need to make sure that FI goes to get measured/pick out the tuxes. Also might go with my sister (MOH) to pick up her shoes and to get her dress altered/hemmed. Also hoping to get some chores and relaxing in somewhere! :-)

Hoping to finish the wedding cake card box that I began last weekend, start sifting through photos to place around the foyer and sitting room with fireplace, having my bridal shower on Saturday, and hoping to get those thank you's out before Monday.
