I've found throughout my planning process that I get "stuck" on certain things, and they're all I can focus on until I get a decision out of it. Currently, it's our first dance song.
"Our song" is "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz/Colbie Callait, but we've both agreed we don't really want to dance to it. It's kind of an awkward mix between fast and slow. Neither of us are great dancers - we don't want to accentuate that fact.
We've tossed a few ideas back and forth from Billy Joel's "Just the Way You Are" (he nixed that one) to "Can't Take My Eyes off of You" by Frankie Vallie (I nixed that one).
We both like classic rock and then your fair mix of modern poppy type stuff. I'd really like to go with some sort of more classic song (70s/80s) so that it's meaningful for us to our musical tastes, a lot of our guests will know it since it spans generations, and it has staying power so we'll probably hear it on the radio for years to come.
I'm stuck. Any suggestions? Thanks, ladies!
