Invitations

Hello!  Any recommendations on where I can order invitations?  Wedding is October 27th and I want to get invitations out by end of August so I am on a tight timeframe.  I prefer someone local so I can actually view the invite in person but am open for online suggestions as well if they send out samples.  Thanks ladies!!!!!

Re: Invitations

  • I used a lady from etsy (lvandy27 her shop is 'By Invitation Only') who is in Frisco near 121 and Custer. Her work is gorgeous, but on the pricy side--if you pick up the invites you save on shipping and if you pay with cash you avoid sales tax. I did an entire invitation suite with belly bands, reception inserts, accomodation cards, RSVP cards and rehearsal dinner invites. I had the envelopes pre-addressed digitally so I wouldn't have to mess with that, and all RSVP envelopes had my address printed on them.

Costco has nice invites as well and they will send samples for cheap ($1.50 each, I think) which are more cost effective.
  • This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but we printed ours using templates from Wedding Chicks and cardstock from Staples and we were very pleased.
  • The Paper Lion in McKinney, Paper Affair in Plano, VistaPrint.com, WeddingPaperDivas.com, ExclusivelyWeddings.com
  • It might be a little pricey, but I absolutely recommend Danielle Marino (she's with Significantly Said on significanteventsoftexas.com).  She did our invitations when she was starting out and they were so gorgeous.  Also, our thank-you cards were one of my favorite things.  There is a pic of the invite in my bio and you can see her other work on the website.

And I really think they were pretty well-priced for the number we had to order.  Plus she's super sweet and really easy to get ahold of.  She also designed a return-address stamp for us and is working on a new one for our new home.

As far as the timeframe, she stepped up like two days before my wedding and made some escort cards and table numbers when some of the original ones I'd ordered were messed up.  I think she got them done in a day.

  • I used Wedding Paper Divas and really liked them. They, and most other online invitation companies, will send you samples, many won't even charge you for them.
And if you sign up for WPD newsletter, they always send out coupons so I got my invites at 50% off :D
  • I also used www.weddingpaperdivas.com. They have lots of options and will send you 8 free samples with a special code (you can google it or wait for it to pop up on the top of their home page.)

  • Thanks so much ladies!!
  • I just recieved an invite last year that was from Vistaprints.com and I thought they were actually really nice! It suprised me actually, but maybe they printed on the higher paper quality, because they didn't seem cheap, but I know they are a great affordable option for brides.
  • I used weddingpaperdivas.com. I just received them & they are great! They will change anything, including colors to what you want. Now I just added a few stick-on crystals to make them a little more special. Good prices & you can always find discount codes online.
