Soooo.... I need some help! 

I live in the Bangor area and I'm trying to find a place for my wedding!  I'm having a hard time finding places online to go look at except the usual - spectacular events, lucerne, hotels - and those are not really what I'm looking for.  If you know of any good places to go around the area, please let me know!  I'd be willing for it to be at most an hour away or so from Bangor.  Please send me ideas!!

    I reccently went to one at the Morgan Hill Event Center in Hermon. I have no idea the cost but it was absolulty beautiful!

    Also, I know the Penobscot Valley Country Club in Orono will do weddings. The photos online look nice!     It's a little further, about 1.5 hrs, but we are getting married at Point Lookout Resort in Camden.

    We live outside of Philadelphia, but had an opportunity to visit the resort in person this weekend, and all I can say is, WOW. It was probably the most beautiful place I've ever been! 


    The pictures on the website really don't do it justice- I suggest taking a trip down and seeing it in person if you can. It is really breathtaking. :)

    Speaking of Camden, I'd suggest the Whitehall Inn.  That is where I'm getting married, and they've been wonderful to work with.  We sat down with them and they figured out how to get us to the budget we had.  Plus, we are having our ceremony outdoors in a park downtown, but if it rains, we can have it there at the inn -- no extra charge.  Highly recommend it!

    Just an idea.. in Eddington, ME theres a place called Back Door Dance Studio(they have a website too just google it) and it rents for 125/hr plus free DJ service and you can have the ceremony right outside on the lawn. They have Ruby Tuesday come bar tend and they have the option of DIY catering or you could hire your own catering. Fits up to 160 people, 140 comfortably.

    have you checked out Penobscot Country Club in Orono? that's where i'm having my wedding and it is a gorgeous place! their outdoor area is beautiful in the summer! mine is in the winter but their grand hall is so amazing too! huge vaulted ceiling with a 40ft wall of windows and balconies! its worth checking~
