FI and I are in the process of choosing songs for both our ceremony and reception, and I'm curious what others are doing. Share your songs in the following categories, and feel free to add other categories as well!

Here is what we have so far:

Bride's Processional: "In My Life" by the Beatles (string quartet version)

Recessional: "Married Life" by Michael Giacchino (theme from the movie Up)

Grand March: "Throne Room March" by John Williams (from Star Wars)

First Dance: ????

Father-Daughter Dance: "I Loved Her First" by Heartland

Mother-Son Dance: "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd

Cake Cutting: "Pour Some Sugar on Me" by Def Leopard

Bouquet Toss: "All the Single Ladies" by Beyonce

Garter Toss: "Shook Me All Night Long" by ACDC

Anniversary Dance: ?????

I am glad to see we aren't the only ones who haven't picked a first dance!! This seems to be the hardest decision of the entire planning process! I sent my "final" list to my FI this morning and said pick off this list or we are skipping the whole thing. I am hoping threatening works

Garter Toss: Monday Night Football theme

Anniversary Dance: NA

Dollar Dance: Good Life, One Republic

Our ceremony is in a Catholic church, so it'll be church music for the ceremony.

Reception entrance: "Party Rock" by LMFAO
First dance: "You & Me" by DMB
Cake cutting song? TBD
Father/Daughter: "Across the Universe" by Rufus Wainright (Beatles cover)
Mother/Song: Maybe the slow version of "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart
Bouquet toss song: "Hey Ladies" by the Beastie Boys
Garter toss: "Going the Distance" by Cake (the lyrics are perfect for it!)
Last song of the night: last slow song: "Wonderful Tonight", last fast song: (which will be the very last one) "Send Me On My Way" by Rusted Root.

We're not doing an anniversary or dollar dance.

I LOVE seeing that someone else is doing Crazy Girl. We really want that one, since I'm a little "crazy" and have been skydiving, bungee jumping, and backpacked Europe. But if anyone has seen the music video, they will know what Crazy Girl he is talking about in the song, and we don't want people to think I'm nutso. But this makes me feel better that someone else is doing it.

I know the video is odd, but this song came out when we first started dating and we saw them in concert in one of our first dates. So much meaning!
