Length of time to make a wedding saree?

Hello!  My sister recently returned from India with the material for my wedding saree.  I live in Philadelphia and plan to go to Edison, NJ  to have it made.  Does anyone have an idea of how much time is needed to do this?  My wedding is in November.   Also, any suggestions/recommendations as to where I should go in Edison?

Thanks!

What do you mean by make it? The blouse or the full sari itself becuase I haven't heard of that. Blouses normally take a week or two depending on who does it.

Are you asking for just the blouse, or to make your sari into a ready-made/automatic sari?

If it's just for the blouse, it depends on the tailor that you get in Edison, and the timeframe he/she can complete your order in.  Normally about a week, but don't procrastinate, tailors get really busy, and you have to try your items on for fittings.

If it's for an ready-made/automatic sari, find a tailor that will not cut anything out, just in case you gain or lose weight in the future.  Also, they can put in self-adjusting hooks to help with any fluxuation or change between now and November.

For additional information about ready-made saris, check out this explanation:
