Columbia Manor - MPLS Parks

Has anyone had a wedding or reception at Columbia Manor? If so, what was your experience like? I'm 99% sure this is where we'll be beooking our July 2013 wedding reception, but I was hoping to hear back from some Knotties about their experiences, likes and dislikes.

Also, if you have photos to share, that would be great! I'm planning the wedding from out of state and have only been inside the building once before and I'd love to see more photos of the setup and how it looks decorated for a wedding.

    My friend had her wedding here and it was gorgeous! I considered it but decided on the Profile Event Center instead. I would share a picture but I don't have any good ones of the space, they're mostly of people haha.

    I've heard that the preferred caterer there (Chowgirls) charges a ton for what you get. It's definitely a beautiful place though.

    I'm getting married there tomorrow!  So far its been a really good experience - you have to do a lot of the coordination yourself since they use outside liquor and caterers, but we liked the dark, exposed beams and wide open room with windows.  I'd be happy to share more info later!

    We had our reception there last year... it is a beautiful venue, but the food and liquor end up being super expensive!  We also did not have the greatest experience with the exclusive liquor vendor.  sltommy is correct that you need to do a lot of your own coordination of vendors, decorating, etc.  Reviews, pictures, etc... in my bio!
