Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

Mid- Sized Guest List ( Venues )

I have also posted this on the MN Board,
I am looking for a venue that will not cost too much money.
We have checked out our local VFW ( I didn't like that too much ) and a nice banquet hall ( The Opulence Room, really cute ).
We are on a very small budget ( $2,000 or less is what we are aiming for )
I have been looking for places that either allow us to bring in any caterer, or prepare our own food and bring in.
Any suggestions?
I did also check out the Profile Event Center ( Thanks to a suggestion ) They are still a little over budget.

  • I'd look at city/state parks and community centers. Rosemount, Maple Grove & Plymouth I believe all have wedding packages as well.

Planning Bio-Added FOR SALE page, will be adding more stuff to it soon!
  • You might look into the Turtle's 1890 Social Centre in Shakopee. You have to use them for catering but it is very reasonable. The owner is really nice and friendly!

    Good luck!

I second this suggestion. Eagan, Shoreview, Plymouth, South St. Paul, Roseville, and several others have nice spaces that are reasonably priced.
  • Don't do Shoreview. I had my engagement party there. Their venue looks nice, but their service was AWFUL and they charged us for damage when it was already there!
  • Check out Elm creek park or silverwood park. Can make all your own food and both are under $2000!
  • IHave you thought about a barn wedding?  The Still Farm offers weddings/receptions for $2000.  You can use any caterer.  Check it out wwwthestillfarm.com
They are located 50 minutes East of St. Paul, in Downing Wisconsin
  • Thanks for all the information..
    Checking out all possible locations.
