Hi! I was wondering what hotel you ended up going with for your room block? 
The Quality Inn on Frontage is the closest and probably the cheapest but if I remember correctly you weren't too impressed with them.

We are getting married in Wallingford then reception at Amarante's so we are thinking about the Clarion in Hamden. 10 minutes drive for our guests to the hotel then 20 minutes each way being chauffeured by a school bus...they'll avoid personally having to drive over the Q bridge on a Friday. Did you look at the Clarion? Where did you consider/pick?

    We ended up going with New Haven Hotel. They just did renovations on it and its really nice. With the discount its about $120 a night for the guests and they have a restaurant there where you can do a breakfast the next morning.
    Also, they arrange with a taxi company to pick guests up at hotel and take them to reception or just pick guests up after reception and bring back to hotel.

    Quality Inn is soooooo bad, don't go with them!
