What is on your bucket list?

Just for fun - if expense and time off were no object, what are the top 5 vacations on your bucket list?

In no particular order, mine are:

1) Prague & Budapest
2) Paris
3) Bruges, Ghent, Brussels
4) Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona
5) Central Java & Southern Cambodia

FI and I put up a map.  The blue pins are places we have visited, the red pins are places on our list.  I'm trying to get ideas!

I don't have a big one. It's the Maldives! I have wanted to go for awhile, but many things have caused a delay- divorce, bad airline connections, no legal weddings! We're now planning on going for our 5th anniversary! I had one other destination on there and it was the Seychelles. We went in 2011.

We were just talking about Bruges last night! There is a chocolate shop there called Madame Dumon. YUM!!! We're also planning on going to Budpest this year, so I'll be sure to post a review when we get back :)

Bruges looks incredible.  It was the commerce center of Europe until the 1500s and then the water receded, but it was never touched by war or any real development.  It looks like a fairy tale, still from the 1500s.  It's one of those places that doesn't look real in photographs!

This is tough to narrow it to 5.

    In no particular order:
    1. French Polynesia
    2. African safari
    3. Italy (Rome, Venice, Florence, etc)
    4. Australia/New Zealand
    5. Back to Hawaii to do BI, Maui, and Kauai

It looks just like that in person. We stayed right along the water and it didn't even seem real!

If it's cool to list places to go back to, then I'll list a few more!

    1. Australia, and in particular, Lizard Island. It really was worth every cent. Amazing!
    2. Seychelles. LOVED Denis Island, but want to stay on Praslin next time.
    3. French Polynesia. I've been quite a few times, but I can't get enough!
    4. Fiji. I've been once, but a few more times couldn't hurt! Next time, I'd like to stay on Laucala, but not sure I can convince my other half on that!

#1 and 2 are highly unlikely but a girl can dream!

    Ohhh I love this post....
    #1- African Safari
    #2- Italy/Greece
    #3- Australia/New Zealand
    #4- Japan
    #5- Galapagos Islands/Peru/Ecuador

We are planning on going to Japan next year. So hopefully cross that one off. Then I will probably add Thialand and Cambodia.

I do have a little bit of a United States bucket list too. I mainly want to go to Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles (I went to Disneland as a kid and want to go back!), Denver, Chicago and go back to New York. This year we are going to Las Vegas and to New Orleans. :-)

My #1 dream trip has always been South Africa/African Safari so this is where we're going/what we're doing on our HM :)

Also on my list: Italy, Hawaii, Australia, Fiji , Egypt, Greece, and Ireland. There are probably 1000 more but this is all I can think of right now.

That being said, I had tea at the Savoy no too long ago and it was gorgeous! We had every intention of heading back there for after dinner drinks as well, but didn't make it.

My real bucket list/life dream is basically to photograph many of the artistically important cathedrals in europe and then hopefully have time to branch out to hindu and buddhist temples in southern Asia.   When I was in college I actually made a list.  I managed to take care of Rome (undoubtedly the most difficult) because I lived there for a month during a Maymester, but the rest are still on my to-do list.

I actually think Spain and Portugal are going to be the most difficult of those I have left.  Some of them are pretty remote and might take 2 or 3 trips to do.

That's such a neat idea and a very worthwhile goal! I need to come up with something like that. I just usually plan something based on something I read or see online and feel like I just have to do it!
