Anyone know of a place who does groom's cakes in OBX?

    I would guess some of the bakers that do wedding cakes would be a good place to start. Is it something really crazy? That might make it a bit harder.

    I did a groom's cake through Just Desserts (she did our wedding cake too).  It was a pirate ship and it turned out great!

    Thanks, girls! 

    It's going to be a simple Chicago Cubs themed cake.  I will check with Atlantic Cake Company, who is doing our wedding cake.  I didn't think to check with them...sometimes the most simple wedding related decisions are the most difficult!  :)

    I used them as well and Susan was so easy to work with and her cakes are delicious!  :)

    Hi!

    I just wanted to throw Patti Cakes of Moyock into the mix.  I had never heard of her, but our caterer, Andy Montero, recommended her and I have to say, using her for our wedding cake was one of the best decisions we made in the entire process!

    I am from OBX and I have eaten my share of Great Cakes, and just about every other cake in OBX, and Patti Cakes was by far the best we've ever had.  And it was gorgeous!  My fiancée wasn't able to get to a tasting, so Emily made us up a beautiful tasting box of all of her icings and cakes to take back to Raleigh.  She was truly wonderful to work with!
