Affordable DJ reccommendations?

Hey girls! I was wondering if anyone had a reccommendation for an affordable but good DJ? Our venue/catering/bar ended up being a larger part of our budget than we thought we would and as a result are trying to cut down costs elsewhere. Anyone have a DJ reccommendation? We'd prefer to pay $500 or under for 5-6 hours. Thanks in advance!

    It depends on the DJ you're looking for.  The really good ones can get really expensive.  Median is about $1K.  I am hiring DJ Carlos from Long Beach; you'll probably just have to pay for mileage; but he plays what I like (hip-hop and house, and I'll add some Hawaiian for cocktail hours).  He's in your price range.  His number is 702-208-4948.  Viv

    im using grooveboxentertainment.com...they have been super nice so far and worked with our budget which is close to yours.

    DJ connection from Cypress is really affordable.  Friend of mine used them for their daughters wedding and said they were good.  They quoted me $100/hr.
