May 2013 Bride to Be :)

It's offical we booked our cermony and reception for May 25, 2013. I am meeting with a photographer on Tuesday and will probably book her right there because of the awesome price on pictures and albums. I have spoken with a DJ who works with my mom and has done weddings for other co-workers and will be hiring him as well. I started looking and trying on dresses and think I might say Yes to the dress here soon. I feel like I am way ahead of the game, is anyone else at the same point. What are the next few steps in the planning process you are starting to plan or have you taken a break? I have ideas for the reception but wasn't sure if it is to early to start looking at materials we will be using and possibly purchasing.

    Congrats on the big checks you are clicking off your list. You are way ahead of me. :) We have our venue. wedding party sorted out, my dress is being pic,ked up sunday, and thats about it

    Congrats!

    We've booked our venue, photographer, DJ and I bought my dress and the tuxes are rented. Next to do is meet with the priest, which should be happening in the next few days. After that it will be flowers and bridal party dresses.

    Congrats on all of the checks!!! So far we have our venue, photographer/videographer, officiant, and florist. We are in the middle of putting together a menu with a catering company and we just received the bartender quote and we are going to book them here in a few days after we get answers to our questions. Now to find a DJ.... Oh yeah and I have my dress and wedding shoes, bridal party figured out...

    CONGRATS!!! You are ahead of the game for sure or I am just behind! lol... We just got back from booking our Venue!! so excited! Sunday we are going to a wedding show to hopefully book the photorapher!

    Congrats fellow May 2013 bride!!!!! I am getting married May 26, 2013 to my bestest friend in the entire world! We have booked our venue and believe it or not I've already found my dress and picked it up last week :). We have calls set up with photographers and DJs and I've begun emailing officiants as well. I don't think it's ever too early to plan anything when it comes to your wedding. Good luck!

    Congrats on the checks :) So far we have our venue (ceremony and reception space) which includes all the food and our cake, photographer, and videographer. We are working on the DJ, ceremony musicians and officiant and we have specific vendors in mind. Good luck!

    Congrats! I'm a May 25th bride too :-)

    I'm way ahead of the game simply because I had to postpone my wedding, my original date was June 2012. So I'm personally taking a little break from planning, but that hasn't stopped me from coming on the boards and stuff, lol.

    I just have to officially book the caterer, beverage provider and whoever will do my and my BMs' hair. I can wait on those a little while. Just focusing on putting more money into savings for now.

    Thank You All.. I am super excited to marry my Best Friend!! I am happy to hear others are just about at the same planning point if not more. I hear once your one year mark until the wedding hits and it flys by.

    jmcjdw13- Congrats and Yes we are getting married in the Pittsburgh Area. My fiance and I are Pittsburgh proud and could not image getting married in a different city. We are getting married at my families church in toward the city and our wedding reception is at the Syria Mosque in Chewick. It has a huge ballroom and the food is great from what I hear. Where is your venue?  There are so many great places to have a reception of course if I had an unlimted budget we would have been having our reception at Heinz Field :)

    Oh yes, my FI had brought up Heinz Field to kid with me cause I am originally from Philly and am an Eagles fan (He's a Steelers fan and we butt heads about it on occasion)! We are having the ceremony in Bellevue at Bellevue Christian Church and the reception at the Priory in the N. Side.

    Congrats!! I'm so excited for you! I am a may 10, 2013 bride and I think it is awesome uwere able to check so many crucial things off your list!! I am the same way. I got engaged in November, had dress by december, photographer in january, dj and florist in february. I am type a personality and I just was so excited that I couldn't wait to start planning. People think I'm nuts, but I'm just oganized. It is the teacher in me. So good for you! Hope you have fun planning everything else! Keep us updated!!
