Is it too soon to buy favor bags, etc.

So I can't help looking online at all the different ideas for favors, etc. I just ordered my STD's. I know its soon and I don't plan on sending them out until 8-9 months before the wedding, but I just wanted to look at them so bad. Does anyone else feel like this? I want to buy satin personalized bags for my favors, but I wonder if I should wait or just go ahead and buy them and mark one more thing off my list. I love to get things done early, as I am already almost done Christmas shopping! So what do you ladies think? Have any of you purchased anything for your wedding!

    FI and I have been picking things up here and there for the past year for the wedding.  I have my table number holders, thank you cards, and a few other little things.  So, I say go for it!!  =)  Just one last thing you will need to worry about I say.  The only hesitation I have is that you may change your mind!!

    Ya, I thought the same thing too. I also have an appointment with a hair and makeup consultant this month. Its been recommended here on TK. I don't want to sign on just yet but I know myself and I just might. I guess I want to do all these things NOW  because I want to have everything or at least 90% of everything paid off by Sept of 2011- budget reasons...

    Lol I am the same way.  I feel like my wedding is so far away but I want to do something now!!  I was just browsing save the dates today but I am probably going to hold off on buying them until this summer. 

    I love to plan plan plan!!  I just have the venue booked I am working on booking our photographer and DJ by February. 

    Here is a pic of the save the dates I want to use.  My FI is really into music and we love going to concerts so I thought this would be cool and different.

    I don't think its too soon at all! I already bought our toasting flutes with our names/monogram on them and the bubble tubes that say "Our Wedding Day" on them (both came from The Knot shop). I haven't bought anything personalized with the date on it yet because we won't have our venue/date set in stone until the end of the month. I can't wait for these next couple of weeks to fly by because I am just chomping at the bit to get going on everything else
