Just wondering why our board is so DEAD!? No one is talking on here like they used to! What is everyone up to??

I know for me, school is in full ass-kicking session. The semester has kicked into gear and I have little time to sleep yet actually enjoy the wonderful social interactions of you ladies.

However, I do agree. I would love some chit-chat to distract me from the monotony of historical analysis of the colonial era. ::gag::

I have only a week off between quarters and taking advantage of it! This past quarter was nuts! So crazy I opted to take classes that didn't involve photography studio time. I have been folding origami for our wedding since Saturday. I am a super slow folder but at least I get the job done. Going out of town this weekend to do wedding stuff. If I can leave early I will be able to meet up with a potential florist.

I agree. I was thinking the same thing. I read Dallas board all the time because they are so active. I recently join this board because I got engaged, but it is quite boring.
My wedding is 9/3/2011 and I pratically have enerything planned.
-Photographer
-Venue
-Color

Now basically all I have left is the smaller items.

Just wondering if people sell some of their wedding items after the wedding..

not much is going on when I check the site, so I dont post too much... so I guess i'm not helping. lol.

@akeptwoman26 - my wedding is a week after yours, i feel like im also ahead of the game.. it feels nice huh? I have..

-Photographer

-Dress

-And are setting up a meeting with who we want to be our Cake Vendor...

We are going to do linens ourselves.. order them from online. and i plan on selling those after the wedding ... its definitely better that putting 600 plus into linen rentals and not getting a penny back after the wedding.. so its useful for yourself and other bride to be's to sell/buy used things.. money saver for sure!

I guess I didn't think about school being back in session. lol I quit my job last week so I can focus on the wedding and moving. I'm down to about 19 days or so! I have to make my seating chart, get table numbers and make place cards. WOO HOO and i have to move into my fiancés apartment all during this short time!

rachelv1003 - My wedding is 11/12/11, and I am way ahead as well! I have my venue, colors, dress, and photographer. It feels really good!

Nothing new to report in my personal life though. I am just working and working out a lot! I am trying to lose about 5 more lbs (I have lost about 20 over the past year

).

The most exciting thing is that I am going to Vegas on Friday, yay!

You can post that you have things for sale on this board, and on the trash to treasure board - vendors can't but brides for sure can, in the busier board days brides did it all the time. If you scroll down STBMrsMartin posted about things she had for sale

I delete posts when its a vendor pimping their services or people who are advertising their business.

ex: "i'm selling these wedding dresses" and then I see the EXACT ad on craigslist coming from a bridal shop.
not cool.

brides are free to sell their used/unused items. There is also the Trash to Treasure board on TheNest, and the classifieds on TheKnot.

@mtsookasem - My fiances brother (twin that is) is getting married on 11.12.11. too. He wasn't with her for very long when they got engaged, so we just figure since they are twins they have to do things alike! haha.

But it does feel great to have alot done thats for sure! i'm just scared im going to start procrastinating then ill be running around with my head cut off like everyone who is closer to their date.. or i'm sure you do that regardless. haha.

I have been busy training for a half marathon. Have any of you ladies ran one before? Its on Oct. 17th.. in California! Im scared and excited. lol. I'm not a big runner, but its something cool to say that I did in life.

@rachelv1003 - It seems like 11/11/11 & 11/12/11 are common wedding dates, and LOL about them being twins and having to do everything alike!

I'm with you though - I feel good now and purposely planned my wedding so far ahead to avoid stress, but I get the feeling I will still not be as organized and calm once we get closer!

That's very exciting! It is an accomplishment for me to run 4 miles. I can't imagine anything more than that. A friend of mine is training for a half marathon as well. Good luck!

mtsookasem - they are very popular. just like 10.10.10 this month... which is actually my anniversary! but any of those fun dates are always packed. which made me scared i wouldnt be able to find any vendors which is another reason im doing things so far in advance.

yea people thought I was crazy for choosing to hold my wedding almost two years after we got engaged, but i feel like its better this way. so you aren't rushing or settling for vendors.. but i know ill be stressed either way closer to the day. wedding planning is such a process!!

yea. when i started running the most i had ever ran was around 2 miles. so this is definitely hard! but just as long as you keep moving up, its fine.
