Im looking for a place in Maine that will hold 240 people where I can bring a caterer in. Have anyideas?

    I'm familiar with the midcoast area and a couple of places come to mind as possibilities. One is the Owls Head Transportation Museum. I know that sounds weird, but from what I hear it's a really fun place to hold a wedding now, plus you can bring in your own vendors. Another place is the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland. You might have to consider a tent for that one, but again, you can bring in your own caterer and it's a great spot. I will post again if I think of more. Good luck.

    You might look at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath. It's a phenomenal space. The grounds can hold up to 1000 people and it's right on the water too. I'm thinking about it as a possible location for my wedding. They have a list of caterers, so far we've contacted only a couple... I'm most impressed with the Blue Elephant. Great service so far!
