I am helping a friend plan a low cost, affordable wedding/reception, in a function hall. We are in the planning stage and looking for venue where you can bring in your own food. Does anyone have any suggestions or can recommend any Function halls, VFW Posts, Banquet hall or other places in MA?

Where in MA are you looking? how many people are you planning for? can you give us an idea of her budget?

The town hall in Arlington is very cool. I went to a wedding there about two years ago. I dont know how much it cost but it was very basic but still nice.

The Franco American club in Beverly is very inexpensive.
