I fell in love with the work of a makeup artist/hair stylist that is pricey. I looked at her portfolio and now I just HAVE to have her do my hair/makeup for my wedding. She is actually out of my budget but I honestly don't care...I think she is worth it. I'll make it work. The work she does on brides is incredible. She makes the plainest people look like movie stars/models! I guess she also does celebs and models which I think is why she is in higher demand than most wedding makeup artists/hair stylists. I cannot find one negative review about her.
Problem is...I am afraid my BM's might not be so happy that I hired someone that is pricey. I am not requiring any of my BM's to get their hair/makeup done. I am perfectly ok with them doing their own if they choose not to use the services of my stylist but they have all said they are interested in getting hair/makeup done. But I don't know if I'm supposed to consider their budgets I mean, it is my wedding and I want to look and feel my best and if I want to splurge to do that, I should be able to right? I don't feel like I should have to settle for sub-par makeup on the biggest day of my life where I will be photographed all day. I have been searching and researching others to see if there are any that are more affordable and whose work I love, but so far...nobody else has really wowed me or stood out.
What do you guys think? Just book the stylist I want and let my BM's make the choice of whether they want to use her or should I look for someone else completely? If you were a BM would you be pissed?
Oh and a couple of other things to note in case it affects your response: my BM's are all coming from OOT so I feel bad if they spend more money. If I hired a cheaper person, I was probably going to pay for their hair (they could decide if they want to pay for makeup on their own). With the stylist I want, I would not be able to afford paying for all of their hair.
