  eBay!!! I have ordered a couple from there and they are really inexpensive. I'm sure you could find wholesale or even super cheap ones with combined shipping. Try to get ones from the US if possible. Not true for all necessarily, but mine from the US is so much nicer in comparison to one from HongKong....:) Good luck, that will be a nice gift!

  Does Boston have street vendors? There are lots of street vendors in New York City where you can buy pashminas for $5 each, and oftentimes if you're buying a bunch you can talk them down on the price.
  
  I've also seen inexpensive pashminas at Five Below and H&M. Also try Marshall's and amazingcollections.com.

  Try Baked Beads. They have some on their website but they also do clearance sales where the scarves are around $10 and a really nice quality.
