Back with reviews - long!

I don't post much on these boards, but I always enjoyed reading vendor reviews and found them helpful - so now here are mine:

Ceremony and Accommodations - Wynn Wedding Salons, A
The wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful.  The flowers were gorgeous (and expensive), and everything the day of went off perfectly.  Mildred was our coordinator, with her assistant, Saundra.  While I couldn't have asked for a better ceremony, and loved how everything turned out, there were some rather frustrating moments along the way due to poor communication.  Our biggest trouble area - room reservations, which were handled through the wedding salons.  They put the wrong names on the wrong suites (despite having everything listed correctly on our banquet event order), and I had some trouble checking into our room. Also, apparently they had two different chocolate tower sculptures sent to the MOG's and the SOG's rooms congratulating them on their upcoming nuptials, rather than sending them to our room.  But, at least Meredith, the catering manager, managed to get our room correct to send us a chocolate gift... so we didn't completely miss out.
We stayed in a Salon Suite, and it was incredible.  The hotel service at Wynn is fantastic.  They have people to handle everything for you, and we put their service to good use.  I especially loved how items left in the wedding salon, such as gifts and the guestbook, ended up back in our suite without us even having to ask.
Oh, and Rev. Henney was awesome! Everyone asked us how often we had met with him because his ceremony was so personal, and they were shocked to find out we'd only emailed with him.  Absolutely fabulous.

Reception - Wynn's Primrose Courtyard, A+
This was such a beautiful location for our dessert and cocktail reception!  We had 52 guests, and everyone fit perfectly.  They claim that the courtyard can hold up to 70, but it was pretty snug with 52.  Meredith was our catering manager, and was sooo easy to work with.  She was always super fast to respond to any emails, and everything turned out perfectly.  The cake looked amazing and was super delicious.  We didn't really have time to snack on all the other desserts and fruits, so they put aside a sampling of all the different goodies and delivered them to our suite (along with the top layer of our cake) for us to eat later.

Welcome Dinner - Tableau in Wynn Tower Suites, A
The night before our wedding we invited everyone to a welcome dinner at a restaurant in Wynn.  Tableau is such a beautiful space, and since they're closed for dinner, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves.  We worked with Linda Brookins, director of restaurant events, to organize the event.  She was quick with correspondence, very capable, and super friendly.  I delivered favors, name cards, and the escort sign to her a few days before the dinner, and they set everything up for us.  The food was of a high quality and delicious, and worth the price.  We also received many compliments on the sommelier's wine selection.
There are two reasons why I'm not giving Tableau an A+.  First, we had agreed upon a menu and price per person last spring, with the understanding that there may be some seasonal substitutions to the menu.  But, when it came time to finalize the menu a few months before the event, these substitutions had more to do with menu quality than seasonal availability.  For instance, they tried to switch out the veal chop with a chicken dish, and the lobster ravioli with a caesar salad.  In our mind, these just do not compare.  We had to create a bit of a stink, and demand to meet with the chef, before the menu was revised to the originally decided upon items.  It all ended up fine in the end, but it was annoying that they tried to pull that crap to begin with.
Second, and this is minor, but it took a rather long time between our first and second course of dinner.  We sat down to eat at 7:30, and weren't served the main course until at least 9pm.  I know that preparing 52 meals simultaneously is a huge load of work, but it created a bit of stress for DH nonetheless.

Reception music - Jozef Bobula's Jazz Trio, A+
Jozef is amazing!   I absolutely loved working with him. He was great to correspond with over email, and his jazz trio provided exactly the sound we were looking for.  And, his price was very reasonable.  The band played for two hours, and took one break.  Jozef doesn't MC, but he brought a mic and stand for us to use, and my Aunt ended up doing the MC'ing for us.

Ceremony music - Kasey Carmody, Classical Guitarist, A+
We hired the ceremony musician through Jozef Bobula, so I never had direct contact with Kasey.  Instead I sent all my music suggestions and timeline details to Jozef, and received confirmation from Kasey through him.  It was a good arrangement, and worked out perfectly.  I told Jozef the only requirement I had for our ceremony musician was that he could play Asturias, a rather difficult Spanish guitar piece. Kasey did not disappoint.  He played the song beautifully, as well as all the others!

Photography - Chelsea Nicole, A+
What is there to say about Chelsea that hasn't already been said before?  She is absolutely amazing.  I knew as soon as I saw her photography that we had to use her for our wedding.  She goes to great lengths for the best shots, and is fantastic about giving direction for those annoying posed pics.  I had her also take my boudoir photos, and they turned out gorgeous.  I never thought I could look so hot!  I gave my DH a boudoir box for one of his wedding gifts, and he absolutely loved it.  Chelsea includes an engagement photo shoot in her wedding package, as well, and she rushed to edit a few of those for us within a couple weeks so that we could give our parents one in a nice frame as a wedding gift.  She's been super busy lately traveling all over the country, yet she always treated us like we were her number one priority.  I cannot wait to see the finished wedding pics!!

Dress Steaming - Debi at Fit for a Bride, A+
Debi has been super easy to work with, and I haven't had to worry about my dress one bit.  She's very quick with her replies to emails and calls, and creates a general feeling that she is totally in control.  I had my gown dropped off at the wedding salons after the wedding for Debi to come pick up and ship back to us.  The entire process has been so easy and stress-free.

Favors - Vosges Haute Chocolate, A+

This is our favorite chocolate store, and we were thrilled to find out that they have a boutique in the Forum Shops at Caesar's.  They were super easy to order from.  I called them just a few days before the day I needed to pick up, told them what I needed (60 boxes of two truffles), and the order was ready to go when I arrived.  Everyone raved about how delicious they were!

Hair - Abel Salazar, Jose Luis Salon in Austin, A+
My long-time stylist from Austin, TX came to our wedding and did my hair for both the welcome dinner and the wedding.  I was soooo happy to have him by my side for the important weekend!  I've been going to him for 8 years, and it just wouldn't have been the same having anyone else style my hair.

Makeup - Lori White, A+
I loved Lori, and was extremely pleased with the look she gave me.  She also did my boudoir hair and makeup a month before, and it turned out gorgeous! She's so easy to work with, super sweet, and very talented.  She arrived on time to all appointments, and for the wedding day, brought along an assistant to help out with the mothers' and attendants' H&M.  I would highly recommend her, and use her again myself the next time I need a fancy look for Vegas.
