FI and I decided that although we don't care whether or not we get married in a church our mother's would really like it. So to forgo a fight on the church/non-church ceremony we thought we would try to find a place in Troy to get married.
A lot of churches seem to require active parish membership for at least a year which is impossible for us since we both don't live in Troy.
Does anyone know of a Roman Catholic Church or a chapel in the Troy area that would allow visiting parishoners to be married?
I really don't want to resort to the Newman Center on RPI's campus, it's not the prettiest of places but we were members while at school.
Any help for a Troy ceremony cite or something in the surrounding area would be wonderful!
