Little madellion in posts?

I just noticed that in posts there's a madellion under peoples names.  I see B, N, and S madellions.  What do these mean?

    It is like a medal for how many posts you've done. No real purpose.

    I think they stand for "new," "bronze," "silver," and "gold" depending on how many posts you've made.

    The post counts for each level are in the FAQs on the left nav btw.
