Los Angeles Engagement / Wedding Venues

I have been thinking a lot about places I have photographed in LA, and places I’d really like to photograph in the future. I thought it might be fun to share with us: perfect places for an engagement shoot, family portrait, or wedding location, get in touch with me and we’ll make it happen!

Malibu beach – I shot my very first engagement in Malibu beach during sunset time.

Griffith Park (Griffith Park Observatory) – I think a session in the hills of Griffith Park before sunset would be lovely. In I Griffith Park I witnessed how Michael said of Cassandra “Will you marry me.” It was a lovely evening. But also we can shoot on the most popular place – Griffith Observatory (official Site http://www.griffithobs.org/ or information on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Griffith_Observatory).

Downtown Los Angeles – Union Station is a gorgeous place to take photos. Within walking distance of the train station is charming Olvera Street that’s filled with street vendors, shops with Day of the Dead souvenirs, and Mexican restaurants and food carts. One of my favorite spots for coffee and brunch is in Art District Los Angeles. But I think any independent coffee house in LA could make for cute, cozy engagement photos.

Colorado Blvd Bridge – It is perfect place for quick stop over at the Colorado Blvd Bridge (aka Suicide Bridge) in Pasadena to snap a few fun shots.

Long Beach Down Town (Pike or Pine Street Promenade in downtown Long Beach) – The boardwalk and rides at Long Beach are a little touristy but a lot of fun.
Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden – Very beautiful and gentle place, a small piece of the mysterious Japan. Lovely romantic place where you can relax and take the time. You can get more information about wedding schedule on Official Site http://www.csulb.edu/~jgarden/
Huntington beach – This place I recommend to all who love surfing and the California lifestyle. Always sunny, warm and fun, provided the perfect mood for the day.
Walt Disney Concert Hall in Down Town Los Angeles – Unusual architectural structure, numerous places for privacy. Can get beautiful portraits reflections mirrored walls. Walt Disney Concert Hall located in Down Town Los Angeles 11 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA.

La Venta Inn, Palos Verdes – The perfect wedding location. Breathtaking views. Touching moments of your wedding. More information about schedule you can get on Official Site http://www.laventa.com/

Calamigos Ranch | Malibu – For lovers of wine and spend time leisurely. Green trees, vast expanses of the grapes, the wine flows like water. Planning your wedding or engagement photo shoot before, check Official Site http://www.calamigos.com/

Re: Los Angeles Engagement / Wedding Venues

  • A wedding photographer is an “invisible” guest at the ceremony, whose mission is to create unique and beautiful wedding pictures. The wedding photographer does not participate in the wedding day, his focus is notice details that are not visible to guests and the newlyweds themselves. The following are a few recommendations that will be useful to brides.

    1. Bridal Preparations (behind the scenes): Typically, the bride will be getting ready in a room equipped with everything the bride needs to get ready. It is here that we capture the most moving and exciting pictures; the fresh makeup, wonderful hair styles, the bridal bouquet and everything else that comes with this beautiful yet nervous time. This excitement underlines the emotions experienced by the bride in expectations of groom. It is suggested that the gathering place is a room at the hotel where the wedding will take place or a spacious area where the decor is appropriate for this hectic time frame.

    2. Makeup Suggestions: Many brides believe that the services of a stylist and make-up artist is not useful. However, wedding photographers, believe it is a key factor for flawless wedding portraits. The brides’ makeup needs to withstand the sun, eating, tears, kisses, and an array of things that may happen during the ceremony . Wedding photographers also recommend that the bride has a light tan. It emphasizes the white gown at any angle.

    3. Accessories: The more the better!  Every wedding and engagement accessories i hand made. It is absolutely amazing. I am waiting for new creative couple.

  • Wedding Album

A wedding album is an opportunity to, years down the line, enthrall yourself with a world of memories — to again experience the incredible feeling of elation of your wedding day. It is a method of preserving the brightest and happiest moments of your wedding. Thanks to the efforts of a wedding photographer, the emotional experience, festive bustle, revelry and the beauty of the ceremony — each piece of the day — goes into a picture that tells the story of your love. Each family receives their own wedding album, created by your professional wedding photographer. A professionally designed wedding album will help you to tell your children about how their mother and father fell in love, married, and the history behind your union. And in order for the album to still be tasteful after twenty years, decorations for your wedding book should be carefully selected with the help of your willing and experienced wedding photographer.

    Why choose a Wedding Photobook?

Lets face it — our memories wear out just like anything else! We won’t always remember a wedding day like it was yesterday. CDs, DVDs, hard drives, they can break, wear out, become lost or get scratched. And wouldn’t you prefer to have the photos in a gorgeous, classy, glossy layout?   It’s much more comfortable to flip through an album with your friends and family — to have the physical, tangible items in your hands, photos that were developed the same year you were married — than to have them transposed onto a plasma screen!

  • Whether the precious memories of your wedding day are captured skillfully will depend directly on your choice of a wedding photographer. Photographs are the closest thing we have to preserving the special events you never want to forget. As we all know, a picture is worth a thousand words. In light of that, working with a professional photographer on your wedding day will ensure that you have something wonderful to hold onto and share with your friends and family. They will be a lasting testimony to you and your spouse’s love for one another for the rest of your life together.

When considering a wedding photographer, keep these points in mind: this is not the time to pinch pennies. This is one of the most special events in your life, and you expect to remember it perfectly. However, the only way to preserve the memories are through the photos!

You may have children, you may live in several different locations and you may have several different jobs during the course of your lifetime. But the only thing that will remain as physical evidence of all the fun you have in life are the photos.

Not everyone who holds a camera can call themselves a professional photographer. Your wedding deserves the perfect shots.  For this reason, when selecting a photographer, note the following things:

    1. Experience: The more experienced the better.

    2. Cooperation and team work: It’s great when a photographer works well as a team with the videographer, the organizer and the guests and groomsmaids and bridesmaids.

    3. Photo quality: Before you make a decision, be sure to review the photographer’s work. You should not only look at great photos a given photographer has taken. Look at the entire collection of a few weddings. Take a look at the candid shots of the guests and the event, not just the traditional family shots. This is important!

    4. Editing: Make sure that your photographer does color correction (see examples of color correction) and doesn’t charge an additional cost.

    5. Shooting style: Photographers can work in different styles, so choose those who are closest to your heart.

    6. Time: Photo sessions depend on the wishes of the couple and the general goal. If you want a beautiful production shot, prepare to spend at least four hours shooting. It seems like forever, but you’ll see how fast time flies. Keep in mind that the best photos need lots of natural light – this is one of the most precious treasures for a photographer.

    7. Attention paid to guests: It’s necessary that a wedding photographer pay attention to guests for a short time and take a couple of photos of each. Often, when looking through the photos after the wedding, we find that some of the guests do not appear in any photographs.
