places to take engagement pics

Hi Ladies!
I'm in need of suggestions on where to take our engagement pics in the Charleston Area. We want somewhere different and funky, if you know what I mean. I'm open to any ideas..

    We did ours at the Coastal Carolina Fair...but it doesn't come back until November. There's tons of great places around Charleston, just ask your photographer what he/she recommends.

    Downtown is always a great choice- anything around the waterfront park and the old historic streets south of Broad. The White Point Gardens (big green space at the edge of the battery) is great if the weather is nice and everything is bloom.

    ALSO- the new(ish) Memorial Waterfront Park on the Mt Pleasant side of the river is BEAUTIFUL. I've seen some really great pictures taken there.

    We took pictures downtown around waterfront park and down near the visitors center and sullivans island...there so many beautiful places in the city.

    we spent one day just driving around downtown taking notes on places we liked.
