Hi Ladies,
I just wanted to share a thought with you all as you're planning all the details for your weddings. My FI went in for her annual OBGYN appointment this week and they found a large cyst with a nodule on her left ovary. She had blood work done to hopefully (fingers crossed) rule out cancer. We are told there is a possibility that she has endometriosis. While not great, we'd take that over cancer any day. We've been told that if that's the case, though, pregnancy down the line may be more difficult. Either way, she will need surgery to have it removed.
One week ago we were bickering over the size and type of font to use on our Save-the-Dates. Today we are getting results back from blood work and we hope she does not have cancer.
It got me thinking about all this wedding stuff and put things in perspective. Suddenly none of these "small" things matter. I've already confirmed to her that I don't care if she ends up with no hair and has to be wheeled down the isle and I have to kneel to be at eye level with her (I joked we'd save money on her hair trial and day of hair do). I don't care if instead of our Colonial-preserved historic cathedral, we exchange vows in a hospital, I WILL be there at the alter and I will marry the love of my life.
If you're religious I ask that you pray for good news for us. Regardless, please keep in mind the point of all this and try not to sweat these details. In the end they don't and won't matter. Keeping things in perspective should be a "check" throughout this whole process.
