Menu question

I'm working on my menus for the reception. Our first course is an Intermezzo which will be a fruit sorbet. What I'm wondering is the correct way to put these. Currently I have:  First Course
Intermezzo
fruit sorbet

But is that correct? Or should it be:   Intermezzo
fruit sorbet 

I'm confused!

    Intermezzo is it's own course. So, you would put:

    Intermezzo
          fruit sorbet

    As far as I understand it, it is to cleanse your palate between courses. So, it should go between the appetizer (first course) and the main dish or between two other courses. 

    I hope this helps! You could always ask a local foodie too :)
