Have any of you booked a band without listening to them live?

I have a band I want to book, but they don't get back to me. I've never heard them live but I am familiar with them.

I will give them a couple weeks and try again because they are getting married this weekend, so maybe they are tied up with that.

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
