So I am having a Kentucky Derby themed bridal shower. I have a thing about invitations setting the the theme for an event. ( I know ppl throw them away and its just me)

I voted for number 1 because I think with the hats, it screams Kentucky Derby. I love the theme

Is it a big deal that the girls in the picture are not AA? I think it may just be me that is bothered by that. lol

I'm actually surprised I didn't pick up on that. At my sisters shower I was looking for a giftbag and waited till the last minute and the only ones left were of a bride and groom that weren't AA and it bothered me but I had no choice at the time.

I really like that first one though. IMO the second one is a little too masculine for a bridal shower and for me the theme doesn't really stand out enough in the third one :-(

I chose number 1 also but my first thought was, too bad the women aren't AA. So I went looking for an invite with AA women in hats but no luck. Apparently it's more common for women to wear hats at baby shower than a bridal shower...

Below...women in hats but it's obvious it's more for a tea party...

That is the first thing I noticed. LOL! But, I am always noticing things like that. I think it will be fine. They'll get it and a lot of these card vendors don't make an AA version as if we don't partake in these events. :)

LOL I like the first one but I too was like "oh they aren't black." I'm having a "Southern tea" themed bridal shower with hats as part of the attire! I think I will borrow from Carla and MsAmeera!
