Has anyone ever rented an entire restaurant for a private party?

I have a restaurant that I might be interested in.  It's so small that we would have to rent the entire restaurant.  Has anyone done this?  Were there extra fees associated with renting the entire restaurant or just the usual minimum amount?  I'm looking to rent it for a lunch.

    yes, we actually just rented the 8th street wine cellar in nyc for a holiday party and had the whole place to ourselves.  it was great!  i think every restaurant does it a little differently but we had it to ourselves for 3 hours, continuous appetizers, open bar and were allowed up to i believe 65 people and they just charged a flat rate which included tip too.  we didn't find any hidden fees but they are pretty strict with the timing since it was an open bar - as soon as our time was up they didn't miss a minute to start charging people so just watch your time.
