Need stylist that does natural African American hair

Can anyone recommend a hairstylist that has experience with natural African American hair? I stopped going to salons when I stopped relaxing and pressing my hair and I dont have a regular stylist. All of the stylist I worked with in the past only do straight hairstyles. Not sure what type of style I want yet but I dont have locs and I dont want braids. Thanks for your help!

There are quite a few places depending on what you're looking for. I would try Textures by Nefertiti. You can get more info on this salon at www.texturesbynef.com.

Nefertiti can also connect you with a group called Naturally Flyy, which is a group of ladies who focus on helping newbies like you with their transition to natural hair in the city of Detroit. Here is an article from the Detroit News about them. I still go back and forth between natural and press but never any chemicals. Congrats on taking that step towards a healthier you.

Thanks Zantster, I've heard of Textures and on their website I mostly saw pics of people with locs or braids and I'm more interested in a twist out type style or a bun where I dont have to press my hair. I went on Craigstlist and found a stylist I'm going to try out. Thanks again for your help.
