  When I started planning our Columbia wedding I looked at several of the local country clubs. The problems I saw was size of the venue and cost along with additional fees. For example, one of the clubs had a location for the ceremony and the reception but if you wanted chairs for the ceremony you would have to rent them at 3 to 5 dollars per chair. And then their reception location looked way to small to me for what they said they could accommodate.

  I  haven't ever been to a wedding there, but a few acquaintances of mine have gotten married there. I know their food is quite good, but I am going to guess that overall, it is going to be expensive. My favorite place in Columbia for weddings is the Kimball (sp?) Ballroom on Stephen's College Campus. I have been to some spectacular weddings there. Love that place.

  If you want to talk about expensive  . . then yeah look at the ballroom at Stephen's! It's amazing but their prices are high!
