unique updo?

Hi Ladies!
So i'm starting to think about my wedding hairstyle and looking for inspiration. I was orginially planning to wear my hair half up so my veil would have something to hold on to but yet my hair could still flow free. It's pretty long now (just past my bra strap), fairly medium thickness and a slight wave. I'm considering updos too, but all the ones i've seen (in real life) either look boring or unflattering. Anyone have any plans or experience with unique updos? Not like pasting things to my hair or anything, i'm thinking of an updo that still will give me a soft look. Any thought/imput would be great, thanks!

I had a soft updo - pics in bio. I had a hard time finding something that wouldn't look too "stiff" and I didn't want my hair flat to my head. Good luck with your hunt!

I am going on a cruise for my wedding and unfortunately no one that is going with me is good at hair. I will be doing my own hair and I have bought extensions to make my hair fuller. I am looking to do a low side bun with 2 white flowers above it. I would like something different but because I will not have a professional to do my hair, this is the best thing I could come up with.

many cruise lines have hair salons--they could probably do your hair if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.
