  I made mine as that is the much cheaper way to do it.  I bought my runner from another knottie but they are fairly cheap at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or fabric stores, especially if you use a coupon.  Instructions are in my planning bio.

  There is also a link in my bio to another person who custom did her runner.  I think the comments section there has some ideas for what to use for the runner.
  
  Also, you should take your FI's last name out of your ticker.  It's safer to not use last names when posting on a public message board.
