Eloping?

Hi there!  I was wondering if anyone knows of any GREAT place to elope or have a very very small wedding?  Someplace affordable...Unfortunately Hawaii or the Bahamas are out!  ;-)  We're looking into Virginia Beach, or even someplace in Ohio.  Has to be kid friendly as I have a 5 and soon to be 8 year old.  Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions!

    What about Hocking Hills?  One of my gf's is getting married there next weekend and she's having a TINY ceremony.

    A friend of mine got married in Hocking Hills last year for a very intimate wedding.  They were very pleased with it.  
    Another idea is Ocean City, MD.  I'm originally from Maryland, and I've been to Ocean City a lot.  It is very family friendly...depending on when you are going.  A lot of high school seniors go there for senior week, so if you go the last weekend in May/first weekend in June, there may be a lot of crazy, drunk, wild high schoolers.  But any other time, it is very family friendly, my sister visits there often!

    I was also going to suggest Hocking Hills area... You can get married anywhere down there... Even near some of the caves I believe. FI and I stayed at Ravenswood Castle recently... super cute place in winter I bet 10x cuter in summer.its much cuter in person than online so please remember that.  http://www.ravenwoodcastle.com/Hocking_Hills_Weddings.htm

    Hocking Hills area is beautiful. Have you tried Deer Creek State Park? They have cabins in the woods that you can rent and I think they even have a chapel or something. Can't remember for sure, but I know we looked into it for a reception.

    If you're up for a road trip, and you're planning on going in the late spring/summer/early fall, I'd recommend northern Michigan and/or Mackinac Island.  I think it'd be very quaint and picturesque.

    Thanks everyone!  I really appreciate the feedback!  I have looked into Hocking Hills, so that is definitely a possibility.  My fiance is actually from MI so that's not a bad idea either!  I'll keep y'all posted if and when we actually decide!  Lol!
