Registering at... Obama??

I hate to bring up politics here, but this seemed an interesting discussion. Regardless of your own political views, would you put "donations towards your preferred political candidate's campaign" on your registry?

Personally, I never would, mostly because I don't share my political views with many people beyond those I know REALLY well. Also, a lot of people I know are on opposite ends of the political spectrum and I wouldn't want to offend/ostracize any one on either side. Not to mention, I think campaigns and their funds are way out of hand anyway.

No. I remember a large discussion on E. I don't mind the idea of charities or NFP causes like cancer awareness or save the puppies but I think one should stay away from heated topics like politics, abortion, etc. as to not potentially offend guests.

Soooo tacky. Especially since politics are such a dividing topic.

I'm also generally of the opinion that traditional registries are best.

We talked about this Sunday, FI and I. While we get why this campaign is doing this, we do not think its for us. Stiil love Obama, though.

Um thanks but no thanks. I already know how many horrible looks I would get at the wedding. We know not to talk politacs in my family. We have some super right and left wings in there and its best never to bring it up.
