PIP (lots): Some wedding details I'm not sure I ever shared...

I know I posted my invitations and other miscellaneous things awhile back, but I'm not sure I posted pictures of some of my other wedding details (some DIY and some that aren't).  As I'm sure you'll realize very quickly, I suck at taking pictures and the room where I took most of them has the crappiest lighting in the world.  Just wanted to share these!  :-)

FYI: Our colors are just general bright hues (corals, peaches, oranges, yellows, etc.)

DIY Escort Cards:

Personalized Napkins (yes, the ones I WASN'T going to buy, but wound up buying anyway, haha):

Cake topper (me in my wedding dress holding my bouquet and FI in his tux pants with his favorite soccer team's jersey):
(Front)

(Close-Up)

(Back)

DIY table numbers (pictures of FI and me at the age that represents the table number... the little circle things under each number are crystals but I obviously didn't photograph them well):
(Table #2)

(Table #3)

Card Box (actually a lantern from Pottery Barn that has openings in the top section for cards to fit through... and we can use the lantern in our home after the wedding):
(With a card inside)

(The opening in the top)

(Putting a card in with my fat sausage hands, haha)

DIY Menu Cards:

DIY Favors (our favors are 2 alfajores cookies - an Ecuadorian cookie - individually wrapped inside the box and there will be a box at each place setting... FI was born and raised in Ecuador):
(The outside)

(When the box is open there is a little card on top of the cookies in both English and Spanish explaining the significance)

(A better picture of the outside of the box)

DIY Program Fans (each fan has a side in English and a side in Spanish):
(English side)

(Spanish side)

Photo Share Cards (we got these through VistaPrint and one side of each card is in English while the other is in Spanish):
(English side)

Garter (it's the colors of the Ecuadorian flag with a small soccer ball charm hanging from the middle):

Wish & Advice Jar Set-Up (we have cards that we made in both English and Spanish displayed in two separate glass containers for guests to write on and then they'll put the cards in the big glass vase in the middle... after the wedding we'll put the cards in a small photo album engraved with our wedding date that we purchased on sale at Things Remembered... we specifically made the cards 5x7 for that reason... the set-up will obviously look nicer when everything isn't squished together for the sake of the picture):
(The whole set-up)

(Close-up of the English cards and sign):

(Close-up of the Spanish cards and sign):

Greek Crowns (I know I already posted them, but I had to just include a PIP to show that we are getting my Greek heritage into the day as well, haha):

Wow, looks like you thought of everything! Lots of work but it looks great.

Curious, where did you get the Greek crowns? FI is Greek. I'm sure we'll be searching for them eventually and yours are beautiful! :-) Thanks!

BridetoBe: We got the napkins from www.partybasics.com - good quality, lots of different design options to choose from (you can even have your own monogram or design printed on them), and quick shipping.

Kerry: The crowns are from www.greekstephana.com. We needed them super last minute and they were totally understanding and shipped them really fast without charging us for the rush.  The quality is great and they have the BEST prices I've seen for the quality compared to everywhere else I looked online and in stores.

Kristen - Thanks!  We love them... I think goaliegirl recommended the Etsy shop where we got it from... we're eternally grateful to her for the rec!

Beautiful!  I'm note sure if I asked you this already before, but where did you get the cookies from?  Also, what does the note explaining the significance say?

    Everything looks fantastic!

I literally just finished printing similar cards to go into our favor boxes.  I wasn't sure they would rest on top, so it's the first thing you see when you first open the box, but I see it worked for you.  Fingers crossed mine will stay. We've got the Jordan Almond poem on one side and our thank you note on the other.

Also, several months ago you suggested buying one of those Scotch tape guns at Michael's... I can see it got a lot of use!!!!!

    Seriously - great job!!

Thanks so much everyone!  I haven't really PIPed much on this board, so I figured I'd finish with a bang and PIP all at once, haha!

tamcle - We originally wanted bobblehead cake toppers that were caricatures of us, but they're uber expensive, so a knottie on here recommended this Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/lynnslittlecreations - we sent pictures of ourselves, my dress, my bouquet, my wedding hairstyle, his team's favorite jersey, etc. and she was able to replicate them really really well (even adding little jewels where the crystal beading on my gown is)!  I highly recommend her!

Cindy and NJHousewife - You girls are too funny!  Hahahaha!  I guess I'm getting a bit lax with the secrecy due to wedding brain!  :-)

BrideToBe - We ordered 3 sets (1 set per color), so 100 napkins in each color making it 300 total to be used at the bars during cocktail hour and the reception (and once the venue runs out they'll just use their own).  And, because I'm anal, I wound up re-ordering them all for the venue so that each stack has pink, yellow, peach, pink, yellow, peach, etc. as opposed to one full box in each color.

Christin - The story behind ordering the cookies is a bit long-winded.  We could've gotten the alfajores from a Colombian bakery in Elizabeth, but I don't like theirs.  However, I love the ones at Pollo Rocky's on Elmora Avenue in Elizabeth.  We asked if they could make them for us, but they said they get theirs from a husband and wife who live in the area.  Luckily, they gave us couple's number and the couple was more than happy to make the cookies for us!  They're REALLY nice and apparently they do all types of wedding cakes and other South American treats.  PM me if you want their contact information!  Oh, and the note just says that we hope they enjoy the Alfajores cookies because they're a special treat from Ecuador and one of our favorites.  We were going to go into more detail about how FI is from Ecuador and all that, but all of our guests will get the connection once we say where the cookies are from.

Giaspo - I think laying the note on top will be fine (for us it was perfect only because the cookies are flat on top and take up the entire space inside the box, so there's nowhere for the note to fall).  However, another idea we had (if you have boxes similar to ours) was to glue the note to the inside top flap of the box, so when the box is opened the note is staring people in the face... by the time we finished everything else with the favors, though, I was tired of using the Scotch tape gun, so that's why we wound up just laying them there, haha.

I bought little table-top easels from the Christmas Tree Shop (you can kind of see them at the bottom of each picture) for $1.99 each.  I'll be selling them after the wedding (I have 15 or 16 of them I believe) at a discounted price and they can easily be spray-painted if you don't like the original black color they came in.  If you're interested (and they don't go missing after the wedding), just let me know!  :-)

NP!  Just keep me posted!  I actually already started putting together a "For Sale" page and will finalize and publish it once we're back from our honeymoon.  Worst case scenario you can always check them out on the page and decide from there.

Everything looks amazing! And u are gonna be so glad at the wedding u did all this. I know it was a TON of work for you, but it really will make the wedding that much more special & ur guests will notice. I think that was one of my favorite parts of the wedding (after marrying my H of course) was seeing it all come to life and set up. Make sure u take time to see all ur projects set up and ask to be brought into the reception room before guests come in so u can see it all set up :)  that was such an amazing feeling! And make sure u remind ur photographer/videographer the day of that u want photos of all ur DIY stuff- there was a miscommunication w/ mine and some details were captured but not all and Im still a little sad about that- have an amazing day and enjoy!!! And FYI a lot of ur DIY stuff is what inspired me to do mine and all ur templates, etc helped me so much so a ton of my wedding stuff wouldnt have been possible w/o u- so thank you!
