How did you pick yours?

Hi ladies! So I am getting married in 4 months and so far I know the family dance song and our first dance, these came easy and don't match which i'm totally okay with. My question is how did everyone come to choose the pinterlude, presession, resession and other music that isn't as personal as much as the first dance song. I'm just starting out and am a little overwhelmed with the options haha..

I would first think of the type of music you'd like: contemporary, traditional, jazzy, etc. I knew I wanted traditional music for the ceremony because we were in a Church and chose to have a string quartet. However, I have been to weddings where they played popular songs for the processional, etc. and I liked that too. It's really just personal preference (unless your ceremony venue, like a Church, has stipulations on the music you can play).
