So after my first pathetic cake tasting, I went to two more bakeries. One was another family bakery that sold everything and the other one was a boutique bakery.
My parents and I went to the boutique bakery to taste their cake. I had to pay for the tasting which would be credited to my order if I book with them. This is what I tasted.
The cake was so good and the buttercreams were too. I think there were 8 buttercreams and a ganache.
My FI and I went to another bakery and this is what we tasted.
um... yeah so that cake was way too sweet. I was getting a sugar rush.
needless to say I loved the second one and that's the one my FI didn't get a chance to taste. He's upset he didn't get to try that one and wants me to set up a second tasting (which I probably wont. I'll have to see). So pending the contract and getting some questions answered, I've got my cake! Check!
