Oh wow!! Yay!! :) I was on the phone with FI when I read this and accidentally screamed in his ear. lol! (I'm excited!)

1. First Name & Fiance's First Name Jocelyn & Jessie

2. Your Birthday & Age and Fiance's Birthday and Age August 14 25y & March 18 25y

3. City Born In? Macon, GA

4. City Live in? Newville, AL

5. Where did you go to college? The University of Alabama ---Roll Tide!!!

6. What was your major? Restaurant, Hotel & Meetings Management

7. What is your current job? Lead Night Auditor for hotel

8. What is your dream job? Corporate Trainer in the hospitality industry

9. How did you and your fiance meet? 1st day of Freshmen Orientation at The University of Alabama.

10. When did you get engaged and how did he do it?? A little over a year ago Jessie asked me to consider being in a courtship with him. After some serious prayer and thinking I agreed. We went to Destin, FL to celebrate his birthday. He had a paper to write and I had just got off work that morning so I had planned to sleep while he was working on his paper at the hotel. Rewind to Christmas--he had purchase me a pearl ring that didn't fit. He took it back to get it resized. As soon as we got settled at the hotel he said, "oh yeah I got your ring...ya want to try it on and see if it fits?" So I tried it on and while I was admiring it, I didn't notice he had come back and knealt beside my bed and said, "Well, try this one and see how it fits.....Will you marry me?" I was shocked and a bit clueless. It didn't dawn on me that that was an engagement ring! I kept saying where did you get that from?!? What's that?! then it clicked and I got super excited and jumping on the bed all the while my handsome fiance is still kneeling on the floor with the ring. He said, "so is that a yes???" lol!! I had forgotten to say yes!! After I said yes, Jessie prayed for us, our friendship and relationship and the future of our marriage.

11. When is the Wedding Day? January 14, 2012

12. Where is the ceremony and reception? Lakepoint Resort State Park

13. What are your wedding colors? Oh goodness, I have changed these colors so many times...so uh.. it's plum & black... not what I intended but what has worked out. :) I'm happy with it though.

14. Where are you honeymooning? We're playing it by ear. It depends on my job situation. I'm currently looking for a job in the area where my fiance stays, but we have been looking at a cruise to the Bahamas or a few days in a cabin in TN. Either way we'll be going somewhere. If just for a few days.

15. Favorite wedding vendor so far? Our venue. It was the best find. Great for our budget! :) Beautiful location on the lake.

16. Biggest wedding splurge? The venue is costing the most because it includes food but it is also what kept us from breaking the bank, but coming in a close 2nd would be our photographer. :)--I just got a call from her today. She received our deposit and we're on her calendar! :)

17. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't? Photobooth and all our family and friends.

18. Another knottie wedding you'd like to attend? djscat, soon2besand, ...actually all the weddings! :) Even the past weddings! If that was a job..I would be a professional wedding attender...lol..but seriously I would love to attend each and every one. You ladies are awesome! :)

19. Favorite book? I have no real favorite, but I have read A Child of God several times.

20. Favorite movie? Too many....The Color Purple, The Best Man, The Five Heartbeats, Mr. & Mrs. Smith,...the list goes on and on...

21. Favorite tv show? I don't get to watch tv that often but I do enjoy watching Meet the Browns and House of Payne....I also watch a lot of kid shows with my little brother.

22. Favorite wedding dress designer? Lazaro...wish I could afford that.. but DB is where it's at for meWink

23. Any advice you can give? Remember the most important thing about your wedding---you and your Fiance getting married. I constantly remind myself of that when things get hectic and the details get crazy. At the end of the day I'll be married to my Pretty Chocolate Man Wink. Our wedding is not a show for others. We take that seriously. Of course, we want things to look nice, but it's truly not about all of that.

24. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding? If I had more money, I'd have more food (i love food) and I'd pay for those who want to attend but can't.

25. Share something about yourself!!
I live at home with my mother and little brother Jordan. I passed up a job and returning to school for my masters to stay at home and help my mom out (my mom doesn't know this--my aunts, grandmother, and FI do). My stepfather left my mother two years ago because he couldn't deal with the stress of having an autistic child. My little brother has autism and has achieved many milestones. We're very proud of him. I love to eat, cook, and try all kinds of new things. I love life and helping people and making people feel at home when they visit. I'm excited to marry my real life best friend.

You've got a heart of gold I can tell.

I love your engagement story too especially the prayer that came at the end. That was awesome!!

How did you finally settle on Plum and Black for your wedding? I know my colors have changed at least four times now and I am still 10 months away from my wedding date.

I love kid shows too. Always have. LOL! What kid shows are favorites for you and your brother?

Love your wedding advice because really at the end of the day, marrying the one you love finally is all that matters.

I too love the engagement story and admire your dedication to your family.

So since you currently live at home, what are your expectations in living with your FI/DH. Are you nervous? Excited?

I'm excited about living with Jessie. We've been searching together for me a job so I can hurry up and move closer to him now, but God has His own timing for us. :) I expect it to be fun, no more long distance, yet a challenge because it's obviously a change. I'm looking forward to that part--learning, adjusting, and figuring out what works best for us and making our home OUR home.

Jessie works for the VA Hospital and is a full time grad student. January 14, 2012 was what worked best for his schedule with school. His program doesn't start back until late January and there was enough of a gap between Christmas and the wedding.

He Pretty! I really enjoyed reading your story. How did you think your mother will feel if she found out about you passing up the job?

Have you found your dress yet? I'm a DB dress girl too. I have an alterations appointment today. Excited!

Hi Jocelyn! So nice to meet you! Your alma mater has a huge football game this weekend against LSU. It should be a really good game.

Anywho! I loved your proposal story. It is so good to see couples honoring God in their journey into marriage. The fact that you guys pray together now is a good foundation to build your marriage on. I also am diggin your wedding colors. I find myself starting to REALLY like the color pallett of purple weddings. I think you are such a sweet girl for sacraficing things you want to help out your family.

I know you said you are playing the honeymoon destination by ear, but what would be your dream honeymoon location and why?

I think she would be a little disappointed but honestly I know she really needed me and that's been something I've been struggling with--getting ready to leave them, but it's something that has to be done. She's told me I have to live my life and I pray and trust that they will be fine. It's not like I'm moving across the world so I know we will still be rather close.

Yes, I have found my dress. I hope your appointment went well! :)

I'm a sucker for bows! lol! Jessie actually picked this dress out a while back because it had a bow on it and I just shook my head because it wasn't the style of dress I was looking for. This was actually the last dress I tried on. I was fed up with trying on dresses. I wanted to try this one just for the heck of it but another girl had it the whole time and we thought she had bought the sample. However, as I was putting my clothes back on they said it's available. It wasn't what I originally had in mind but I loved how it looked on me. So my advice to shopping brides--definitely be open to trying different styles

Thanks!! :) No, unless it's God's will! :) Jessie has about 2 years left of grad school and I plan on going back for masters as well. He has 10 nieces and nephews 12 years old and under and then me- from help taking care of my little brother we would like to enjoy some time child free. We actually agreed on about 8-10 years before TTC and we're really open to adoption as well.
