Catering Prices

Have you ladies found that your venues/ cateres will 

negotiate  on food  on the price? Esp if the wedding is over 200 ppl and open bar?

    You should be able to negotiate with all your vendors, I didn't try to with mine especially since they are a one stop shop.

    Yes, esp in this economy.  People are having fewer big galas and balls and charity foundation dinner/dances, and these big venues need to book weddings - even if at reduced cost.

    I agree with pp...I was able to make HUGE negotiations with my venue.  It was still pricey but they went an extra mile for us...in order to make it happen!

    Sure did! My reception is in a hotel so it was a bit more difficult (IMO) because they're run by a corporate office. But I always stated my vision and then asked how close they could come to that without going over $xx.
