At Home reception CHEAP- South Bay

Hey Girls!

I am usually posting on the Vegas boards since I am getting married in Sept in Vegas. 

It is a private ceremony and I was thinking aobut doing a laid back cheap athome reception.  Just drinks and apps, something simple.

I am completely run dry on ideas of where to have the reception and was wondering if any of you know of a great place close to the beach (we met scuba diving) that would be ideal for this?  Thanks so much!

    I'm not sure if this would work for you but I considered doing it for my wedding when I (foolishly) thought I could have a small one:  go to www.vrbo.com (Vacation Rentals by Owner) and see if you can rent out a place by the beach that is suitable for a low-key party.  It'd be cheaper than booking a venue ('cause prices go up when the word "wedding" is involved) and you could bring in your own food and beverage.
