engagement ring

Hi ladies

So my FI had my ring made my a jeweler that he knows back in NY. I wanted to have the plantinum band polished and looking shiny without getting ripped off. I tired going to a few places in the mall and they either charge a ridiculous price or need to send the ring away for 2 weeks. Anyone have a person or place that they can recommend?

Try a local jeweler, maybe? Gillespie in Addison polished my ring when we simply stopped in to look at men's rings for FI

Kim at Gillespie made my rings--highly recommend! And the one time we had it polished there it looked amazing.

My only recommendation for rings is Curtis Cox in Bellmead, if you want to take a trip to Waco.

While we bought my rings at Jared, I've never had to have it sent off for polishing (platinum engagement ring) or re-dipping (white gold wedding band). I don't know if they even charge (or how much they charge) if you just come in. It can't hurt to try.

I know that Haltom's in downtown Fort Worth will clean it for free...I'm assuming that that would include a polishing, too. You might want to check them out.

Depending on your location... I'd recommend these:

Grissom's Fine Jewelry - west of Ft. Worth and they polished my rings while I waited! They are fantastic there.

Eaton Custom Jewelers - across from Frisco mall, sized my platinum rings in less than an hour and did exceptional work. I would recommend them any day! They're amazing.
