  Do you mean when is the bridal shower? The bridal shower is typically 13 months before the wedding. My wedding is at the end of March, so my mom and sister are looking at having the shower in January. It will likely just be a Saturday afternoon gathering at my mom's house. A typical bridal shower consists of eatting snacks, playing some wedding themed games, and the bride opening gofts. Or did you mean when do you pick your bridal party, as in selecting your bridesmaids and groomsmen? Most people say no more than 69 months before the wedding. I knew who I wanted for a decade and asked them about a year and a half before the wedding. While it has worked out well for me, I would still recommend waiting until the 9 month mark just so you have a really good idea of what you want and what your budget is.
